Commonly sedimentary rocks consists of following, Limestone, sylvite, barite and gypsum and rock salts.

    Explanation:

Lithification in latin terms means the rock formation stage which is a compaction of sedimentation along with pressure. As essential its a process of porosity, by compaction and sedimentation. Thus important stages of lithification are compaction and cementation. The first step is weathering or rock base and then erosion and transportation of sediments of the rocks, the third stage being deposition of these sediments and then, finally lithification takes place. Thus the unconsolidated sedimentary rocks over the period consolidate to form a sedimentary rock and that is an impact of all high heat and pressure from above an example of volcanic eruptions can be seen through the stratification and formations of deep within the earth.
