If she already faced the preliminary hearing in Magistrate Court, the next step in the process is arraignment. A formal arraignment is a hearing wherein a commissioner or a judge will inform and advise the defendant of the charges then ask how she pleads. However, if she wants to continue by means of a jury trial, it could take a year or even more before her case goes to trial.

She will face a grand jury and may receive an indictment.

    Explanation:

At this stage, the prosecution can be given if the judge has sufficient elements to estimate that the accused is guilty of having committed the crime, another option is to establish the lack of merit, which is when it is considered that there is insufficient evidence to order the processing or be dismissed when the cause is terminated. Because of the death of the accused; if the fact investigated did not exist or is not a crime.
