    Explanation: There's a whole bunch of reasons which I could make this 25 pages long but I'll try to explain it in a shorter version.

    Under Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda, they were planning these attacks to try to do jihad or war against America. There was not one specific that set them off but definitely many reasons that led up to this.

    Osama bin Laden was running a group of terrorists known as al-Qaeda which was before isis and he was running these organizations around the world. Terrorist attacks have been happening in Europe and other parts of the world for a while but nothing on this level. Osama bin Laden had a pure hatred for Americans so this attack probably had years of planning in order for them to pull it off. He figured out where are vulnerabilities are by having his people fly into the twin towers and the pentagon.

    Explanation:

    two airplanes crash landed by terrorists into both world trade centers

    this caused a lot of damage because all the countries traded there
