In the American Revolution war, he betrayed King George, and told the mad, angry colonists that the governor of Massachusetts, Thomas Hutchinson, was playing two-faced on the colonists AND King George. He was telling the colonists, "oh, I know, I hate King George aswell", but then coming back to England and telling King George "Those colonists are wild!" So then, Benjamin Franklin told the colonists and then the colonists burned Thomas's governor house down.
