    Answer: The United States were at odds with Spain, Britain, and France, because, the United States was at war with each of the countries (at different times). The Untied States was against Spain ruling the Cubans and Filipinos for being at odds with Spain. The United States had gone through the American Revolution for being at odds with Britain. The United States had gone through the French and Indian war for being at odds with France.
