    They showed that minorities could serve heroically when United States policy allowed them to participate in the armed forces. The Tuskegee Airmen was made up of African-American men who became one of the greatest air squads of the war, and the Navajo code talkers were made up of men from the Navajo Indian tribe. They are known for their unbreakable code of spoken word, the axis powers weren't able to figure out what they were saying.
