Why did the Greeks not develop a great, unified empire like the Egyptians?

    the Greeks not develop a great, unified empire like the Egyptians due to geographical factor that led Greece to creation of city states and farming wasn't a mian product of Greece contrary to Egypt which was locted over fertile Nile that factor led to political and economical diversity in Greece
