    In October of 1957, the Soviet Union shocked the United States by launching the first satellite Sputnik I. Sputnik 1 was the principal manufactured Earth satellite. The Soviet Union propelled it into a curved low Earth circle on 4 October 1957. It was a 58 cm width cleaned metal circle, with four outside radio reception apparatuses to communicate radio heartbeats.
