How was the Cold War between the US and USSR fought?

    Answer: deterrence, intimidation, retention.

    Explanation: There was no will to wage another "hot war" after the WW II. Moreover USSR was engaged in the worldwide discourse of peace. In this context the war waged in a indirect way. There were many rival areas as for example research os space, economy, industry, propaganda. USSR wanted to convince worldwide population that it is a pioneer in a new type of Communist society and that there wil another Communist revolutions and societies. But is exactly what did not happen. In 1970s competion between two block started is in favour of USA. Perestroika (1980s) was a symptom of decadence.

    The cold war got its name because both sides were afraid of fighting directly. in a "hot war" nuclear weapons would destroy everything
