What does the author suggest about the South, where the story is set, by his choice of details about the setting?

    In to kill a mockingbird the setting is so important it describes her childhood and it gives you a time and period and what was normal at that time it gives you foreshadowing.

    I think it's that the south is violent and angry about the civil war
