Crops were damaged by machines during harvest is statement about new technologies in agriculture in the late 1800s is not accurate.

    Explanation:

In the late 1800 new technologies are invented in the agricultural sector to boost the production. It was Eli Whitney US born inventor who invented the machine called the cotton gin which enhanced the production of cotton by removing the cotton seeds by very great speed from the cotton fibre.

By this innovation and more production, America has become the largest exporter of cotton. So the statement "crops were damaged by machines during harvest" in the late 1800's because of new technologies is not accurate.
