What did the colonists do to let the british parliaments know they were against new taxes?

    In order to make the Crown aware of the fact that the colonists were against the new taxes, the colonists famously dumped massive amounts of newly-taxed tea into the ocean, in an event called the "Boston Tea Party"--which greatly angered the British.
