    The reason why deposit insurance developed in the 1930s has a very strong link with the 1929 market crashes.

    The market crash causing several banks to failed, which made the public trust toward the banks were at an all time low. To increase the trust, The Government created Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to guarantee's the safety of their money in the banks
