Eugene V Debs was an American union leader he was a labor organizer and a socialist leader he was elected to the Indiana state assembly with a support from Terre Haute's workers and bussinessmen he organized an american runway which a strike lead on of pullman company in chicago in 1894 he was sentence to 10 years in prison for his opposition to the united states involvement in World War II
