What did the Constitutional Convention think was so great about the Electoral College

    It allowed people vote for the president that actually knew things about the candidates because back in the day there was no media so people voted without actually knowing the candidates but people in the electoral college knew the candidates well and had better knowledge than the people therefore if they thought the people made a bad decision then they'd vote
