How did humanism connect with renassances

Humanism was a major part of the Renaissance since this period led to a focus being placed on the individual as opposed to only God and the Church (where the focus had mostly been during the Middle Ages). This was reflected especially through visual art and sculpture.

Humanism fit in perfectly with the renaissance because it enabled people to think in a different way which is what humanism and the renaissance both were about. People and topic about human beings become more important and this also was reflected in pieces of art (paintings, sculptures, etc.)
