    Policy of appeasement towards Nazi Germany consisted of a series of political concessions, both military and territorial, each of which would satisfy Hitler and prevent further his demands, and above all to prevent the outbreak of another war. The event, in which appeasement revealed with full force was political conflict German-Czechoslovak dispute over the Sudetenland and conference in Munich (1938)
