    Jackson's supporters think he made a good presidential candidate because he was known as a war hero and champion of the people.

    Andrew Jackson ran for the presidential election in the year of 1824 as well as in the year of 1828. Though he lost the 1824 presidential election of United States, he again ran for the second time.

    He was being mobilised as the popular hero of the war. He was a hero for the war held in the New Orleans battle. He was positioned as the major general in American army and won the 1828 presidential election and served for 8 years then as the 7th president.
