Compare and contrast the opinions of George Washington and James Madison regarding political parties

    Washington believed that parties were bad because they would divide people and that they all need to work for America and not parties. James Madison on the other hand was a member of a party and supported such a system and is a founder of the Democratic-Republican Party.
