The French and Indian wars took place on American soil. These wars took place between the French and the British fighting to take control of America. The French Indian war began in the north of America as a result of territorial competition and expansion. The border between the French and British possessions was not well-defined and hence there was one disputed territory in the Ohio valley. This resulted in a long war which was resolved by a peace treaty giving the British advantage of territorial gain.
