How did spanish colonizers respond to the failed pueblo revolt in new mexico in 1598?

    At first they made it impossible for Pueblos to have access to farmland and fresh water. Then they said that they would leave them be if they converted to Catholicism and became Christians. Then they banned some of their cultural practices. In the end they left them and the puebloans won.
