    Unlike traditional concept of intelligence where intelligence is measures or defined using basically abstract and verbal reasoning skills. Gardner and Goleman believed that intelligence can be measure in a multi dimensions, such that, aside verbal and abstract skills alone, level of intelligence can still be determined in various ways.

    To Gardner, intelligence can be measured through various interpersonal and interpersonal skills, while at the same time, Goldman, further explained that, self awareness, and self regulations are interpersonal skills to look out for, and empathy and social skills are the interpersonal skills to look out for when determining individual intelligence.

    Hence, Gardner and Goldman, concept of intelligence lies on multi a intelligence, while the traditional concept heavily relied on general means or the usual verbal and abstract skills alone.
