What trends led to the rise of the suffrage movement in the 1890s?

    Women were learning that they should have more rights. The Seneca Falls Convention was held in 1848 to discuss women’s rights. Women did not have the right to vote, and women were finally speaking up in a formal setting of this unfairness. The convention did not just address the right to vote, but many other matters of civil and social issues for women.
