What if Eisenhower's D Day plans failed and Germany defeated the Allies

While this is purely speculation, it is likely that Germany would have successfully taken over continental Europe and the UK would have had to become subservient in some manner.

America would likely be the same but it would have a much more diminished role in global affairs.
