    Explanation: He had an easy going charm that young people found a welcome change from the older politicians who were increasingly out of touch with modern culture. He also played the saxophone and had a wicked sense of humor. He did not have conservative values or support trickle down economics. These are both Republican ideals that President Clinton as a Democrat did not champion. He did promise to increase taxes during his campaign and implemented the planned hikes during his term in office.
