Imperialism - good or bad? Connections to Industrial Rev

This is of course somewhat of a subjective question, but in general most would agree that overall, imperialism is bad because it almost always leads to the violent exploitation of the native population. This was especially true during the Industrial Revolution, when raw materials were in high demand.
