The progressive era denotes the progressive movements in the United States of America in the period which is confined to the 1890s to 1920s. This the time when the nation is going through rapid technological innovation in production and the progressive movement was aimed to solve problems regarding industrialization, urbanization, corruption, etc. The concern about prohibition and women suffrage also took center stage. The believers also stressed that the role of government was crucial to fight these ills.
