A boundary is a marking or limit of an area.

The two types of boundaries are physical and political.

A physical boundary is "naturally occurring" and could be a mountain range, desert, or water source. For an example the African Saharan Desert is often use divide Africa; the Ural Mountains divide Asia and Europe. A political boundary is a man-made "drawn" territorial line that divides nations. An example of this would be the line dividing Canada from the United States.
