What were some of the major changes in the south after the civil war?

    Answer: The economy was devastated

    Explanation: the loss of many lives caused for a loss is production, especially since slave labor was no longer an option. Many farmers lost their land and were in debt to the bank. Also because they could no longer buy or sell slaves they had lost that part of their economy.
