Why does liberty matter? Explain what you think the citizens of a nation might gain or lose through their liberty.

    Liberty means the freedom to do what one wants (this is a very simplified definition!).

    People gain from laving liberty having more options and less limitations, for example, they are more free to pursue the kind of education for their children that they find appropriate.

    But liberty comes at a cost of lack of privilege, for example in a country with full liberty the school system might not be that good, if not everyone has to go there or can afford paying for schools.
