    "The Night of Broken Glass" or Kristallnacht in German, was a combination of attacks to Jewish businesses and beating up and killing of Jewish civilians in Nazi Germany (also Austria) that took part on the night of November 9th in 1938. This operation was executed by Nazi Storm Troopers along with civilians, while German authorities watched without interfering. It was called "The Night of Broken Glass" since Jewish people lost a lot of money due to the broken glass in their stores.
