It was Edwin who first made the oil derrick. It was first made at the state of Pennsylvania in 1859. The very first oil derricks were called as Drake Wells - named after the founder - which looks like a hut with a large chimney on it. This wonderful discovery has greatly changed the modern technology that we have.
