The National Revolutionary Party, which since 1929 united the various forces participating in the revolution, turned into the institutional expression of the entire Mexican revolution. Its resemblance to the National Fascist Party of Italy is recognized by Italian researchers. The fundamental link between liberal and fascist ideology was nationalism. In addition, the corporate structure of the Mexican state and the nature of its economic policy during the years of the Great Depression testify to Italian influence. The enthusiasm for Italian fascism was evident on the pages of reports, letters and many documents that came from the Mexicans who were in Italy with certain instructions, and was also observed in art

From Italian fascism, Mexico derived the ideas of a strong state, radical nationalism, anti-Americanism (which existed in the people despite the rapprochement with the United States), corporatism, the presence of a single party, the authoritarian rule of Obregon, Calles, and Cardenas, the state support of the avant-garde in culture, in promoting it in art, architecture and literature of modernist movements and a tendency to eugenics and racism, expressed in the idealization of the "Mexican race" and in the rejection of immigrants from Asia.
