Explanation:

Article of Confederation was adopted in 1777, during the critical years of the American revolution to bond the states together under a weak central authority. However, the problem of the Congress to amend the article or to make new laws required states majority and Shay's rebellion exposed the weakness of the power of Congress under Article of Confederation and therefore there was need of the Constitution of the United States.
