Haymarket affair which was also known as the haymarket riot was a protest by the workers to have an eight hour long working day and in this riot a protester threw a bomb at the police which resulted in the killing of some people. Homestead strike occurred because the plant which was owned by Henry wanted to weaken the strength of the labor so that their salary could be reduced even more.
