Between 1785 and 1800, where was the U. S capital located

    New York and Philadelphia.

    The original US Capital was located in New York City, centered in Federal Hall. It was where George Washington was inaugurated.

    The capital was then moved to Philadelphia before being moved to its present location after the compromise of 1790 and the subsequent building of the Federal District in DC.
