    The War Powers Act of 1973 limits the power of the POTUS (President of the Unites States) to raise and engage in any war actions against any action without consent of the congress. It was considered an anti future Vietnam wars by limiting the power that the president has to attack and engage american troops in foreign countries, this was done by both chambers durin Nixon administration.
