The following events led to the beginning of Islam:

At the tender age of 6, Muhammad, who later came to be known as the last prophet of Islam lost his direct parents. He started living under the guardianship of his grandfather and spontaneously started thinking about God and the ultimate truth at a very small age. After the death of his grandfather, his uncle took him under his care and brought him up to become an adult. Muhammad was still curious about who God is and what the ultimate truth is. For his quest to know the truth, he meditated sitting down in a cave near Mecca in Saudi Arabia. It was there when he was in a deep state of meditation, he heard a divine voice which revealed to him the truth. He then told his fellows about the truth that he had heard from God and became the messenger of God. He kept telling his fellows what God revealed to him and that is how a new religion named Islam was born.
