    He believed it emerged from Protestant Reformation. This reformation was rooted in western Christianity that was started by Martin Luther then furthered by early protestant reformers in Europe during the 16th century. Modernity is part of the humanities and social sciences to specify a historic time that includes certain sociocultural norms, practices and attitudes that grew out of post-medevil Europe an have evolved since that time around the world.
