The sentence "Japan's surrender came a just days after the bombing of Hiroshima, ending the war and saving countless lives" states a reason that would support a claim in favor of American use of atomic bomb during world war II, because it convinced the japan to go into an unconditional surrender which allies had been pushing for. Secondly if the war remained continued for more time, it could have taken countless lives as well.
