    A linguist is a person who studies the science of languages. A linguist studies three different aspects of a language:

    1. The form of a language

    2. The structure of a language

    3. Language in context The study of language can be broken down further. It can include aspects such as how children acquire language, how languages relate to each other and how languages differ from each other, how languages influence the way we interact with each other, and finally, what unconscious knowledge people have about language. A person who speaks several languages fluently is also known as a linguist.
