What led to king philips war

The cause of king Philips war was the colonists greedness for more and more land, but the main cause for its outbreak was the trial and execution of three of Metacom's men by the colonists. This made Metacom and his men start attacking and destroying English settlements and kidnapping and killing English settlers.
