The silent generation was raised upon a time of incredible instability while the baby boomers were born in the time of the economic boom.

    Explanation:

The silent generation is called so because it never really had a fair chance of establishing its culture the way the future generations did due to the disruption of their lives because of the war which made them do things that they would not otherwise do.

The baby boomers were the next generation that came of age and it was born into a stable world with a booming economy and had a way of expressing themselves in the ways that the previous generation did not.
