What new challenges would sedentary societies face that they would not as a nomadic society?

I don't know because I don't like this quote and I am just joking

This meant that women were less involved in public life. It also meant that the larger population meant more pressure on resources. Another important challenge would be the fact that sedentary societies lived in close proximity with animals, which led to the development of new diseases that threatened their health.
