Why did Alexander's have to delay his conquest into India

    His troops mutinied - they had been on a campaign for ten years, and objected going endlessly east following Alexander's dream of conquering endlessly. His men got sick and tired of India. It was constantly raining there, resulting in mouldy clothes, mouldy food, rusted swords, and rusted shields.
