    Answer: Johnson was impeached, but Congress was not able to remove him from office because of a lack of supporting votes.

    Explanation: They had enough votes in senate to inpeach him but they failed in congress. So he was never impeached howevour after he almost go inpeached he started to be nicer to the congress.
