Which would not be seen as a winner in the war of 1812

In the war of 1812 the United States confronted the United Kingdom and it's Canadian colonies. The British were defeated, however, even with the victory the United States had a strong economic loss and obteined a rise in their taxes. There were also positive consequences, such as the strengthening of nationalism within the country.
