Leaders like George Washington possessed great skills in militia. At that time Britishers imposed taxes and George Washington was one of the leaders who resisted this policy.

    When the revolutionary war ended George Washington was declared a national hero because for approximately 8 years he held the colonies intact even though there was no food, ammunition and even sometimes motivation. He kept them motivated and inspired and more important together.

    Jonathan Trumbull was an assistant to George Washington during the revolutionary war. He was the only minister who kept his seat in office.
