The Dasht-e Kavir and the Dasht-e Lut are Deserts. The Dasht-e Kavir and the Dasht-e Lut are large deserts that lie in the middle of the Iranian plateau. The deserts are characterized by barren grounds and they receive very little rainfall all year round. During summer, the temperature rises to about 500 and it becomes unmanageable for the people of Iran.
