Well, one of the ADA's major goals were to prevent further discrimination from Employment and Public Services (such as being denied employment opportunities or being unable to ride public transportation due to not having proper accommodations)

The Americans with Disabilities Act is a civil rights law passed in 1990 that prohibits any form of discrimination towards employees who have physical or mental disabilities that would limit "major life activities" like walking, reading, seating, seeing, and communicating. This law also extends to job applicants.

The law's main goal was to guarantee a gradual process of inclusion of this minority group to the country's workforce.
